This limited Big Peat Winter Edition, a 10 year old Islay malt Scotch whisky, with 16 months of its maturation spent in hand-selected French red wine casks, reflects the poise and maturity of a fine wine vintage. The result is a whisky of depth, indulgence and true Islay DNA at its core.
Maritime peat smoke and sweet malt are layered with dark forest fruits, spiced warmth and polished oak. Expect warming notes of vanilla, butterscotch and salted caramel, unfolding into black cherry, ripe plum and dark chocolate, with a subtle nuttiness throughout. The finish is long and luxurious, carrying home-baking spice and lingering dry peat smoke.
