Bern, Switzerland (March 5, 2024) – On March 4, 2024, ten passionate Swiss whisky lovers gathered at Kurt&Kurt in Bern, the capital of Switzerland, for an exclusive blending session. Led by Dougal Barr, Brand Ambassador of Douglas Laing & Co. Ltd., they created a unique whisky blend specially developed for the Swiss market.
The new Rock Island Swiss Edition is an exquisite blend of a variety of Scottish island whiskies known for their complex flavours and balanced flavour. The careful selection of whiskies by the group of Swiss whisky experts guarantees a unique taste experience that will delight whisky connoisseurs as well as newcomers.
Participants in the blending session included:
Marc Born and Stephan Keultjes, who were already involved in the selection of the Epicurean Swiss Edition in 2019. Carmen and Marcel Stocklin, Patrick Krape, Sasa Lazarevic, Byron Lee Gehriger, Michael Hugi, Stephan Peter and David Detiker. The exclusive Rock Island Swiss Edition is now available at selected Swiss beverage retailers.
