The new bottling 10 Aniversario Reserva is a recognition of Ron Millonario's success story. It is based on a new recipe that offers a fresher and lighter version of Ron Millonario's typically sweet, full-bodied and fruity taste. It is ideal for drinking neat as well as for enjoying over ice and in cocktails that prefer a sweet Latin American-style rum.
Ron Millonario 10 Aniversario Reserva is a carefully crafted blend of different rums with different ages between 6 and 10 years. It is characterized by complementary aromas.
The main ingredient is a younger rum that has been aged for 6 years in barrels that have only been used once to age bourbon at the Heaven Hill distillery in Kentucky. The high proportion of rum, which was able to mature in former bourbon barrels, gives the Ron Millonario 10 a good finish with aromas such as vanilla, banana and white-fleshed fruits.
The other rums in this blend matured for more than 10 years in second-fill Spanish barrels after a maturation cycle of Oloroso Sherry from the best cellars in Jerez.
Light, fresh and sweet
The color is reminiscent of bright amber, its scent is light and never aggressive. Candied oranges, bergamot tea, vanilla and a hint of kola nut are its standout aromas, with the alcohol taking a backseat to the interplay of scents. On the palate it is light and fresh. The decisive taste is chestnut and acacia honey, candied oranges and cedar as well as raisins. In the background, the flavors of nuts, chocolate, dried plums and apricots add additional depth.
